Is information technology a social blunder to describe someone without permission?

I've seen this happen firsthand. A friend of mine works at a coffee shop, and there was an older admirer sitting in the corner with his coffee, and a sketchpad that he kept carefully shielded from everyone else in the room. She noticed that he kept watching her intently for a trivial while, then going dorsum to his drawing, over again and again, etc. She went to wipe downwards the tables and when she got to his area, tried to catch a peek at what he was drawing, simply he very evidently shielded information technology again, then walked out no more than five minutes subsequently.
I think some girls would be flattered, but my friend was weirded out. Mostly, I think, because she never got to run into the drawing. That he full-bodied and then hard on her paradigm to put it downward on paper, merely refused to let her see any function of it. I'm sure his intentions were innocent, simply the whole thing but had an aura of creepiness, haha. I would exist okay with it if fifty-fifty though someone hadn't ASKED me, that they didn't hide the fact that they were cartoon me. I would feel weird if they made it obvious that they didn't desire me to meet it.
I used to do the same thing though. I would sit in one place and describe people who crossed my path. I never idea of information technology as being weird, but then again I made it pretty clear that I was drawing people. And it's always 'weirder' if it'south a guy doing it, no affair what. It shouldn't be, but people virtually always take it the wrong way. I like leaving the portraits for their likenesses to detect though. Like if I had been that guy in the coffee shop, drawing my friend, I would have left the drawing for her after I'd finished it.

Yes it is, I wouldn't similar some random person drawing me, its creepy. And if I constitute out a man was drawing me I wouldn't know what to exercise just id feel like I was being stalked and I know a lot of people that would contact the police force-its just weird. And if the girls y'all were drawing had boyfriends I think you'd have to answer to them too.

-
+one y
You've been lucky and so considering some guys would miss the threatening out and simply striking you. The best advice I tin can give y'all if you want to carry on drawing random girls without permission is make sure you don't become caught lol then you can exercise it as much equally you like :)

Astonishing. You do realize it violates no laws, right?

Well it should be against the police, I would experience really uncomfortable if I found out a random human had been cartoon me. Then once more the girls who get drawn aren't going to notice out are they. At that place's loads of girls that would observe information technology equally a compliment though.

Shoulda, woulda, coulda. It's non illegal.

Every bit you go along saying so you can carry on doing information technology-there's nothing anyone can do about it and its your life so do what y'all desire. You asked for people's opinions and you've got them.
-
+ane y
Right. just wanted to make sure you lot were clear on the reality of the situation (likewise as anyone else here)
-

Well I fully sympathize now-you learn something new everyday. Honestly, its your life and so do what you want to practice. Like I said, there'll be lots of girls who would exist flattered. Tin I enquire what you do with the pictures you draw? yous say your really skilful at cartoon-is it your career or just a hobby? proceed it upward whatever it is because I think information technology's really rare-ive but ever met 1 person that was good at drawing lol.
-
+1 y
It's a hobby, but I feel unfulfilled somehow if I can't give it to the person. I can't explicate why.
-
+1 y
Well that'd be totally unlike for me, if someone was drawing me but so came over and gave me the picture I wouldn't mind simply its if someone was drawing me and then keeping that picture.
-

WHat if you go it off from Google or something tho? They put them pictures on in that location for public utilize

It seems creepy. Like if you barely know that person or don't have that type or relationship with them, it can just see every bit creepy and intrusive.

I've drawn jennifer garner, and as far as I know she doesn't take a problem with it. so why are yous different?
-

Jennifer Garner is a famous celebrity. If y'all depict a picture of a random girl in real life and she finds out about information technology, it's just weird. Are y'all her fan or something? If information technology's one of your female person friends I don't run across a trouble only a girl you lot barely know that would come off as obsesssive.

Hey, employ the "The Trouble with Harry" Defense.
Basically, Harry is a dead torso that an creative person is drawing at the start of the movie. Comedy happens when every character in the movie ends upwards thinking THEY were the ones who killed Harry, so they keep burying him, earthworks him up, burying him, digging him up, etc.
Anyway, to make a long story shorter, the drawing of Harry the corpse ends upward in the hands of the local deputy.
Then, at the end, the deputy is trying to piece together the events, and the artist is trying to convince the deputy that "Harry" was fatigued as a figment of the imagination, and how a few subtle strokes of charcoal, the cartoon could easily be of someone else.
So he draws on his own picture show of Harry, changes him to look completely different, thus destroying "evidence."
And then there you go; If you lot get caught, y'all change your drawing plenty to exist someone else (or draw from behind the "model.") ;)
Really, request permission is not that hard, and usually people won't listen if yous are unobtrusive, quick; oh, and equally long as you don't see as creepy. Better to ask permission though, or try to make them generic.
Think you also desire to train yourself in the "art" of gesture sketches also; that way, you can capture an essence to draw from later.

If your in a public identify and cartoon a girl without her knowing it'due south fair game, but like if the news comes along and takes a pic of something like marathon race and they get flick of yous making a face or looking like an idiot there's goose egg you can practise about it if they decide to put yous in the paper, yous were in a public place and the news just happens to be there. You might freak the girl out though if y'all just sitting there drawing her and notices yous starting at her, and then if I were you, but walk upwards to her and say excuse me your very pretty and well I am artist, bear witness her some of your work and then say would you heed if I drew a picture of you lot?

I retrieve asking the person would kind of creep her out more. Maybe he should vesture shades and draw the person. Then they can't see him studying them.

It's ok Sometimes.
I used to sit down in form and draw portraits of people when I was bored.
I think the signal at which it becomes socially unnacceptable is when you lot have multiple drawings of someone you lot've never even spoken to.

And I posted on IG every bit a Story lots of people like this post bcz I created a poll on information technology. And she also liked. Nd no one recognised here's sketch. Merely when she saw. She tells her boyfriend and his boyfriend filed FIR against me. And complaint against me and all. Then I just deleted that post. Bt really I don't accept any bad intention.

Haha. why exercise girls attack everything about you lot when they don't like you lot? I think it's a key difference betwixt the genders.
For case, I tin admit George Will is a highly intelligent, educated man. Politically, I think he has his head upwardly his donkey.
But you lot can't dislike me without belittling everything I exercise...you are such a slave to y'all ovaries!

I don't hold information technology agaisnt you..you lot are a daughter. Girls start out dyspeptic, and if they are lucky, they grow out of information technology. And even so they revert when in groups of other girls.
